Biltmore Village is a 281-unit multifamily development in Asheville, North Carolina, composed of two four-story apartment buildings and three four-plex townhomes. The site is organized around a series of outdoor spaces that support social gathering, recreation, and everyday living. The landscape design prioritizes function, comfort, and a strong connection to the region’s native ecology. A central pool courtyard serves as the primary social hub, offering ample seating, shade, and seasonal planting to create a welcoming atmosphere. An outdoor work courtyard provides quieter space for residents working remotely, with integrated seating and planted buffers that support focus and privacy. A third courtyard is designed for informal gathering, with areas for grilling, yard games, and flexible courtyard space for casual use. A shaded dog trot runs along one edge of the site, offering a secure, dedicated space for residents and their pets. Planting throughout the development emphasizes native and regionally adapted species to ensure long-term resilience, reduce maintenance demands, and support local biodiversity. The landscape plays a central role in shaping the identity of Biltmore Village—balancing aesthetics with usability and environmental performance.
