Valley View Residence is a new-build, single-family home designed for a family of six. We collaborated closely with the owners to support their vision for outdoor living, entertaining, and meaningful plant selection. The landscape offers full circulation around the home, with slow cascading steps, gravel paths, and open lawn areas that encourage exploration and gathering. A native meadow defines the perimeter, framing views toward the iconic Red Hill. The planting strategy prioritizes ecological sensitivity and low maintenance, with lawn limited to areas of specific use or necessity. The result is a resilient and immersive outdoor environment tailored to both family life and the surrounding landscape.
